Roads and Highways   SELECT:

Enhancements to Historic Downtown Farmington, Farmington Road, and Grand River Streetscape

The City of Farmington, a City with a population of over 10,000 people, was in need of infrastructure updates to its central business district. The City retained OHM Advisors to assist with road reconstruction and streetscape projects in the downtown area. Our team applied complete streets principles for planning, obtaining funding, and construction of a three phase series of projects from 2003-2009 to dramatically improve the aesthetics and walkability of the historic downtown area. Our team also assisted with the complex vehicular and non-motorized circulation issues revolving around the Farmer’s Market, and resolved the persistent congestion issues of a major intersection in the downtown area.
