Roads and Highways   SELECT:

Livonia Annual Asphalt and Concrete Rehabilitation/Reconstruction Projects

The City of Livonia, having a population of nearly 100,000 people, was mostly developed in the 1960s and 70s and had an aging road system that was in need of upgrading. In 2002, the voters passed a 10 year millage to rehabilitate local roads. OHM Advisors was retained to assist the City with the planning, design, and construction administration for the program from its inception.

From 2003-2012, our firm has been the lead consultant on separate road rehabilitation programs totaling over $22 million. Nearly 43 miles of roads have been upgraded along with replacement of water mains and bridge decks. Working with City staff and a Citizen’s Advisory council, our team has helped to successfully guide the City in the program to minimize disruptions to the public.
