Illinois Benedictine University, Kindlon Hall of Learning and Birck Hall

Distinctive, yet cohesive, architecture was what this client envisioned when it was determined that two new buildings were needed to support its curriculum. At night, when its large windows are illuminated, the new student center and administrative office building, Kindlon Hall, is a beacon for learning. Containing a library, chapel, student lounge, and faculty offices, Kindlon Hall is 110,000 sq. ft. More modern and playful, the new science center, Birck Hall, is 93,000 sq. ft. The completion of both buildings created a recognizable image at the doorstep of the university.
