Roads and Highways   SELECT:

US-12 Reconstruction, Firestone to I-94 and I-94 to Livernois

The City of Dearborn, Michigan is filled with attractions like the world headquarters of Ford Motor Company and the Henry Ford Museum and Village. It also features the University of Michigan-Dearborn and a lively downtown. Located within this urban fabric, these two reconstruction projects span approximately two miles of US-12 (Michigan Avenue) east of I-94 and two miles west of I-94. As part of the design and construction process, accessibility in the long term was achieved through cooperation among the project stakeholders. This resulted in an attractive, well-designed streetscape that includes decorative planter boxes and sidewalk, tree pits, and enhancing street lights.
