OHM Advisors GIS Practice Leader Mike Cousins will join conversations about water quality and community health at the 2024 MRWA Annual Conference when he teams with Eganix to present a comprehensive sewage management solution created for the City of Livonia, Michigan. The 60-minute presentation on March 20th will cover:
- The setup of the City of Livonia's collection system
- F.O.G. (Fat Oil and Grease) issues that plagued the city for many years, including excessive grease wrongly dumped into the sewer system
- Successful bioaugmentation measures that reduced maintenance costs and efforts
- A digitized dashboard, created by Eganix and OHM Advisors using advanced GIS techniques, that looks at all grease sources in a facility (not just grease interceptors) to enhance F.O.G. inspections
- Cost savings to the city and other benefits of this technology platform for residents and businesses
