Ericka Malone is OHM Advisors’ 2024 Employee of the Year
Engineer, mentor, and a shining example of a team player recognized by peers
At a year-end employee recognition ceremony, OHM Advisors announced Ericka Malone of Hancock as its 2024 Employee of the Year. Nominated by firm peers and decided by vote, this prestigious annual award goes to one winner from a pool of highly qualified, mission-driven candidates who have made tremendous contributions to OHM Advisors and their respective professions.
Ericka is a manager for the OHM Advisors CADD Group. Since graduating with a master's degree in civil engineering and beginning her career at OHM Advisors in 2014, she has held leadership roles with the Municipal Engineering and CADD Departments.
Known for her extensive knowledge and ability to share the firm’s collective wisdom with the next generation, Ericka has onboarded or trained an estimated 250 new staff members during her career. She has also been a driving force in enhancing operational efficiency across the firm. From improving software training to advancing resource sharing, she has championed impactful initiatives that have elevated the quality and precision of our engineering designs.
Nominated by numerous team members for this honor, Ericka’s coworkers describe her as the embodiment of the firm’s mission of Advancing Communities.

Ericka's outside involvement includes work with ASCE Michigan Section as Upper Peninsula Branch Secretary & Treasurer, and MATHCOUNTS, as UP Section Coordinator.
Ericka is a proud mother of two children and one very active 10-month-old puppy. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, playing the violin, and learning new things. She is currently learning German and the piano.
As the 2024 OHM Advisors Employee of the Year, Ericka receives a monetary bonus, one week of additional paid time off, and an engraved award.
