A principal based in Columbus, Ohio, Brent joined OHM Advisors in 2023 to focus on the firm’s rapidly growing mixed-use market portfolio. He has three decades of multifamily and mixed-use design experience, including urban infill and brownfield redevelopment to transform former industrial sites into higher and better uses. His expertise extends to retail, office, single-family, and industrial buildings.

Before OHM Advisors, Brent ran a green design firm concentrating on low-energy and healthy buildings he founded after a decade-long career in the design industry.  That preceded establishing a successful architecture and engineering firm where he was a managing partner and helped grow that company to a Top 25 Architecture Firm in Columbus. He says his passion for architecture started while working in construction in high school and ultimately led to a master’s degree in architecture. Brent is equally comfortable working in the office and the field and credits his design approach to his construction background. By applying a contractor mindset to construction document creation, he can often streamline the building process and keep projects on track. As a project lead, he thrives on the collaboration required to develop and complete each project.

With his broad-reaching project experience, Brent is familiar with many different types of construction, including all standard construction methods, cast-in-place concrete panels, tilt-up precast panels, insulated concrete forms, and structural insulated panels (SIP) wall construction.

Brent is a member of the Urban Land Institute and was a Certified Green Professional™(CGP). This designation through the National Association of Home Builders identifies professionals trained to cost-effectively incorporate healthier, more efficient, and environmentally friendly building principles.
