Scott joined OHM Advisors’ Transportation group in 2013 and is a practice leader in the Livonia and Detroit offices, leading a team of engineers focused on visionary road infrastructure projects for public and private clients throughout Southeast Michigan. He has more than 25 years of design and project management experience in the field of transportation engineering for roadways and highways, traffic signal design, and stormwater and drainage system design in roadway improvement projects.
With two decades of design expertise and hundreds of miles of road and highway improvement to his credit, Scott currently manages large, high-value projects such as the Detroit Metro Airport Visioning Study establishing placemaking policies for the airport as it began a significant full-scale improvement which is currently coming to life. Passionate about rebuilding road infrastructure throughout Michigan, he also leads strategic growth initiatives for the Transportation group and has been instrumental in building an MDOT Design team to partner with the Michigan Department of Transportation on significant road work on Eight Mile Road, I-94 through the heart of Detroit and I-75 near Bay City, to name just a few.
A licensed professional engineer in Michigan, Scott holds a civil engineering degree from Michigan State University and is a member of multiple professional associations. He is the former Chair of the Transportation Committee for the Michigan chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and a current member of its Contracts Committee working with MDOT on a host of contract related issues.
