Accolades for the Home Road/Lewis Center Drive Turbo Roundabout in Delaware County

On February 27th, at the 2025 Ohio Engineering Excellence Awards Luncheon, the American Council of Engineering Companies presented OHM Advisors and DLZ with an Honor Award for the DEL-CR124-9.02 Home Road/Lewis Center Drive Turbo Roundabout in Delaware County.

Completed in late 2023 and located in the one of Ohio’s fastest growing communities, this modified-knee turbo roundabout manages the high volume of southbound left turns at Lewis Center Road and Home Road and reduces congestion as the county’s main east-west arterial develops.

Named for its spiralized geometry, the turbo roundabout utilizes a raised lane divider to reduce conflicts created by vehicles weaving across lanes. This design is one of only a handful of turbo roundabouts in the country and exemplifies how advances in roundabout design foster a safer, more efficient transportation network.
