Mixed-Use Building Design Continues City’s Development of First Walkable Corridor
As part of the City of Dublin’s ongoing Bridge Street Corridor Plan development, our OHM Advisors architecture and landscape architecture teams led the design for this series of mixed-use buildings on High Street leading into historic downtown Dublin along the west bank of the Scioto River.
In an extensive design process working closely with the City’s architectural review team, the developer, the Architectural Review Board and the community, our team designed an integrated mixed-use development atop a steep hillside between north High Street and the river. Rectangular in design with a parking garage at its center, the western edge of the development includes a series of two-story commercial buildings including 15,000 sf of office space and 15,000 sf of retail / restaurant space—all designed to reflect the scale and appearance of the existing buildings in the Historic District of downtown Dublin.
With seven stories on the development’s eastern edge and a stairstep design down the hillside to the river, the development also includes 41 custom luxury condominium units with private garages accessible from the public parking garage on each floor. Condominium residents enjoy sweeping views of the Scioto River and surrounding parkland as well as the newly opened pedestrian bridge spanning the river to Bridge Park.
