University District Boutique Hotel Offers Destination Stay in Style

Indus Hotels engaged OHM Advisors as the lead architect team to design a stylish, 164-guestroom hotel in Columbus, Ohio’s University District situated between downtown and The Ohio State University campus that aligned with the Aloft brand’s vision as an appeal to “perpetually curious travelers who want something different.”

Designed with LEED certification in mind and opened in 2019, the Aloft boutique hotel offers contemporary, upscale rooms and nearly 10,000 sf of public amenity space. Guests can also enjoy an interior pool with city views, a high-end lobby bar and lounge outfitted for live entertainment, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a café/diner, and an elevated patio with seating and outdoor fire pits allowing guests to relax and take in views of downtown Columbus and the surrounding, diverse university area community.

Capturing the spirit of the Aloft brand vision and appealing to travelers seeking culturally immersive travel experiences, the hotel design is both edgy and modern while remaining timeless.
